Abercoed FarmhouseThe farmhouse itself is from the Georgian period and is built with thick stone walls, keeping the place cool in summer and warm in winter, Although extensive modernisation and rebuilding has taken place throughout, it has been done with a caring hand and an eye to detail. The people who run Abercoed, Jane and Steve, fell in love with the place when they first saw it and believe you will too.
Entering the farmhouse through the front door, you feel the peacefulness envelope you and you begin to unwind, with the dining room to the left, where you will be served your breakfast in the morning, then you go upstairs to the 2 double and 2 single rooms, all carefully redecorated and with 3 having views over the Tregaron Bog Nature Reserve whilst the last room looks over the back garden.
A small stream runs down the boundaries on one side of Abercoed, so in Spring time there is the possibility of frogs and other small fauna and flora associated with streams and areas that have not been used by humans on a daily basis. Jane and Steve have a bikers welcome policy, and can offer the entire site for a small rally of 300 to 500 people. Please email them for more information on this.
Double rooms are based on two people sharing, for any extra people sharing a double room there is a £10 supplement. All rooms include a full English or Continental breakfast. There is a small function avaliable should it be required, please email Jane for more details on this. Bedandbreakfast-directory.co.uk
